BUYING GUIDES
Property in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is one of the least known islands in the Archipelgo of the Canary Islands and not always the first place people consider when buying property overseas.
But if you can imagine Tenerife 15 years ago then you can imagine the amount of property speculators that have made good investments in Teneirfe and now they are looking to do the same with Fuerteventura.
The two most common topics that come up in conversation when clients come into our office is:
"I would like a property with a sea view" And: "I wish I had bought 10 years ago".
Well now for all those people that have said this, now is the time to rectify this and start at the bottom of the ladder with the new developing island of Fuerteventura.
There are so many new property developments going up all across the island that can cater for every type of investor. There are studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and for those with larger tastes semi-detached and detached villas.
You could invest in the growing tourist areas such as Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste and Jandia where all amenities are close by and local bars and shops.
For the more adventurous there are many little houses or Fincas that have beautiful surroundings and their own land, in little villages near the coast or inland with few other inhabitants. These are great if you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. These can be a great project for the people that dream of restoring old properties, some might need just a bit of work but then some might be the total opposite and a complete restoration is needed.
Done right these can mature into a great investment.
For the keen golfer there are some fantastic golf courses on the island, so if your thinking of buying property to rent then Fuerteventura is an ideal place to buy as many golfers need accommodation and are looking for good quality apartments close to golf courses. Also the apartments are situated on a complex with great communal facilities, swimming pools and tennis courts that make them ideal rentals for families as well.
There are still plenty of plots of land available and also properties that are surrounded by protected areas, which can never be built on so your views will always remain the same.
Fuerevntura is definitely an island to consider if you are looking for a good investment and it is one of the cheaper Canary Islands for buying property. At least it is for now!
